In light of the global need to invest in waste recycling projects to achieve environmental sustainability and adopt effective practices to reduce waste and reuse it in efficient ways to reduce pollution and promote recycling economy policies, this need has crystallized in the minds of students in the Journalism Department at Cairo University. These students launched a magazine known as "Saxonia," an economic magazine that aims to raise individuals' awareness of ways to profit from recycling waste and converting it into sustainable resources.

The aims of "Saxonia" magazine

Sarah Reda, one of the magazine's managers, said that the most prominent goals that Saxonia seeks to achieve in the field of waste recycling include:

- Raising awareness of the importance of community investment in this field

- Spreading the culture of waste sorting and converting it into usable materials to support the recycling economy.

- Changing society's stereotypical view of recycling activities

- Highlighting successful projects in this field to encourage young people and entrepreneurs to invest in them.

Sarah added that the magazine focuses on publishing educational and awareness-raising content through conducting interviews, investigative reports, and presenting success stories of recycling projects.

Saxonia's achievements in expanding the scope of recycling projects

Sarah Reda revealed the magazine's achievements in a short period of time, explaining that "Saxonia" has become a link between entrepreneurs and recycling applications. The magazine has launched awareness campaigns and field initiatives to stimulate positive environmental behavior among young people and entrepreneurs, and encourage them to adopt innovative waste management solutions.

The role of recycling from Saxonia's perspective

Sarah emphasized the role of recycling in supporting the local and sustainable economy, explaining that waste represents a resource with economic and investment value, as these processes contribute to improving people's livelihoods by creating new job opportunities, reducing the import of raw materials, and encouraging entrepreneurs to invest in circular economy projects that support tourism and national investment.

Saxonia's field plans and initiatives

Speaking to "Green in Arabic", Sarah expressed her happiness with the steps taken by the magazine, including:

- Launching the "No Food Waste" initiative during the holy month of Ramadan, to encourage reducing food waste and linking environmental awareness to daily behavior.

- Organizing awareness activities for children in schools about the importance of recycling and environmental protection.

Challenges faced by Saxonia

Sarah stated that the most significant challenges facing Saxony Magazine were logistical, particularly in coordinating with relevant institutions to organize field activities. However, the magazine was able to overcome these difficulties through sound planning and continuous communication with relevant parties to ensure smooth implementation and development of the projects it plans to implement.

Future plans of Saxonia

Sarah concluded her speech by emphasizing Saxonia's ambition to

- Expanding cooperation with governmental and environmental institutions

- Developing interactive content to attract new social groups to participate in recycling.

- Finding effective solutions for waste management and environmental protection without wasting resources
